Metis win tender for Meeching Valley Flood Alleviation Scheme

We are delighted to announce that East Sussex County Council have appointed Metis to investigate potential solutions to mitigate future flooding within Meeching Valley in Newhaven.

Metis will work closely with the council to understand the existing flood mechanism by constructing a baseline hydraulic model, before testing the performance of potential solutions. These solutions will be evaluated against a number of criteria before a preferred option being recommended. It is hoped that ultimately the scheme will lead to construction.
