At Metis, we love any excuse for a bit of fun to reward our employees for all their incredible work and bring our growing team together. Our most recent event was Casino Night, and what a special one it was. Keep reading to see what we got up to!
Over the past few years, the Metis team has been steadily growing, but having hired a total of 24 new team members in the past year alone, it was time to create more space to put them all.
That’s why, on the 20th July, we hosted our first-ever Casino Night to celebrate the grand opening of our beautiful new office in London!
What happened in Casino Night will (mostly) stay in Casino Night, but if you wish you were a fly on the wall, here are some of the highlights.
The Metis crew enjoyed playing Blackjack, Roulette, and Poker – all hosted by professional dealers. We hope there were more wins than losses!
With a menu of five yummy cocktails and virgin cocktails to choose from, we all enjoyed a little sip while we perfected our poker faces.
With some amazing Metis coupons and fantastic prizes on offer, we had a great time handing out surprises to the winners at the end of the night.
A local independent caterer from Richmond sorted us out with a tasty selection of food for the night, catering to our team’s very diverse dietary needs!
Finally, we got all our new starters and wider Metis family members together for some good old-fashioned team-building exercises.
Considering the complexity of the civil and environmental engineering industry and the level of work involved in each of our projects, we place great importance on rewarding our team with events like Casino Night!
And with one of the youngest engineering teams in the industry, all with diverse backgrounds and interests, we try to ensure there’s something for everyone – whether it’s Go Karting, nature walks, or paid-for lunches!
Don’t just take our word for it: See our team stories and why they love being a part of the Metis family!
Our team here at Metis can’t wait to connect with the engineers of tomorrow, ready to help us pave the way for a more sustainable future.
