What triggered your interest in engineering?

The opportunity to solve problems (I enjoyed maths and physics at school) and get involved in such a large and diverse industry that impacts our everyday lives

What made you want to join Metis?

It felt like a good environment to learn and grow professionally as I began my life in the UK

What do you see as the biggest challenge in your role?

Understanding the challenges faced by my clients and the diverse and dynamic communities we are designing for

What are your ambitions for professional development?

To be a chartered professional engineer

What has been your favourite project to work on so far?

Working on Healthy Streets improvements to neighbourhoods in North East London. This has involved understanding the needs of the community and designing minor interventions which can have a significant impact on the lives of the people who live there.

What do you like doing in your spare time?

Travelling, hiking and visiting the theatre.

What message would you pass on to students thinking about pursuing a career in engineering?

Engineering can be such a diverse and dynamic career with so many opportunities, it can take you anywhere
