B Corp recertification: Metis’s Impact Score soars!

Metis is proud to announce that we have been re‑certified as a B Corporation!

We achieved an impressive B Impact Score of 117.4 for the 2025 B Corp recertification cycle. This represents a substantial improvement from our previous verified score of 82.2 in 2022. We believe this reflects our deepening and evolving commitment to social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability.

How Employee Ownership powered a major leap forward

A standout contributor to this year’s success is our transition to becoming an Employee-Owned Business. This structural shift has directly strengthened our performance across key areas of the B Impact Assessment, particularly within the Workers and Governance categories.

The Workers score rose dramatically from 34.0 in 2022 to 63.7 in the 2025 recertification. This increase is driven in part by recognition received under the Worker Owned impact area. Employee ownership enhances financial security, engagement and participation in decision‑making.

Our Governance score remained strong at 19.7, reflecting the importance of transparent leadership and the protection of mission through our employee ownership structure. Becoming employee‑owned has not only strengthened our culture and empowered our people, but also reinforced our long‑term commitment to operating for the benefit of clients, colleagues, communities, and the environment.

A continued commitment to positive impact

B Corp certification is one of the most rigorous assessments of responsible business. Achieving an improved score of 117.4 places Metis well above the threshold of 80 required for certification. This reflects the ongoing dedication of our employees to leading with purpose.

As we look ahead, Metis will continue investing in our people, deepening our community engagement, and ensuring that our growing impact continues to reflect our values. We’ll also continue to strengthen our approach to environmental sustainability. It is heartening to see that our Environment score almost doubled in our latest assessment. We believe this reflects our considerable progress in areas such as air quality, carbon emissions, biodiversity and environmental management
