ABOUT THE ROLE:

We have a robust pipeline of interesting civil engineering and public realm design projects. As such, we are looking for ambitious engineers with some design experience to join the team.

The roles would suit civil engineers, with 2 to 5 years’ experience, who want to be involved in interesting and challenging projects, whilst being supported to achieve their professional ambitions.

As a Highways and Infrastructure Engineer, you will be exposed to all elements of the business from project and client management, through to technical delivery working across the design teams. You will be working on schemes including town centre redevelopments, new cycle ways, civic squares, junction improvements and carriageway maintenance schemes to name a few.

At Metis we are passionate about supporting the shift to active travel and sustainable design. In this role you we be part of a team making a real difference in transforming our infrastructure to provide environments that people can enjoy and thrive in.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Office Assistant

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are a growing civil and environmental engineering consultancy based in Richmond, southwest London. We are excited to be making a difference in delivering sustainable engineering to our clients.

We are looking to recruit a local proactive office assistant to support us with the day to day running of our business.

The role may include, but not limited to:

  • Handling incoming calls and other communications.
  • Liaising directly with clients.
  • Purchasing office equipment and supplies.
  • Helping organise and maintain office common areas.
  • Support recruitment activity.
  • Support project teams.
  • Maintaining the website and social media.
  • Organising team days out.
  • And lots of other interesting challenges.

We are looking for a dynamic, energetic individual who has great communication skills and needs minimal management.  The individual must be trustworthy and be able to actively identify areas where they can provide assistance to the business.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Computer literate and proficient with MS Word (formatting, style management and template generation), PowerPoint and Outlook and Excel.
  • Good literacy and numeracy with good attention to detail.
  • A friendly, engaging nature with the ability to work well in a team environment, liaise with clients and work independently as required.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • GCSE/O-Level grades C in both Maths and English.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
