At Metis, we take our responsibilities to society and the environment very seriously. In fact, we have put our commitments to our stakeholders in writing, outlining them in our Company Constitution.

Sustainability is anything but a buzzword to us. It’s the driving principle behind our every action and the beating heart of every project we undertake. Our technical leads assigned to each project ensure we take every opportunity to reduce CO2 and maximise environmental benefit.

We’ve also developed a cutting-edge tool that calculates the embodied CO2 in schemes, a solution that’s being used to reduce carbon in construction and maintenance throughout the UK and overseas.

Our social value team ensures we make a positive impact in society both through our contracts and directly. By engaging with local schools and contributing to the community, we delivered over 50% of an ambitious social value target set by Southwark Council in only the first year of a five-year plan.
