Dani Parfitt appointed Metis managing director
Metis is delighted to announce that Dani Parfitt has been promoted to Managing Director, effective from 1st January 2026.
Dani first joined Metis in 2014 and has served in various roles, most recently as Operations Director since 2022. Her energy, expertise and experience of Metis makes her the ideal fit to steer our business as managing director, and lead our ambitious strategy for the future. We are confident that Dani will guide us to further success in the years ahead!

Simon Jones becomes Executive Chair
Dani succeeds current Managing Director and co-founder Simon Jones, who now moves into the newly created role of Executive Chair. Earlier this year, the founders decided to take Metis into employee ownership, securing our independence and stability. Establishing Simon’s succession is the next logical step in the Metis journey.
We look forward to Simon’s continuing strategic oversight of Metis – with particular focus on its culture, values and client relationships. He will chair the board, ensure sound governance and effective decision making, and support the new Managing Director and her leadership team.
William Raw promoted to Operations Associate Director
Following Dani’s appointment as Managing Director, we are pleased to announce that water engineering lead William Raw has been promoted to the role of Operations Associate Director. William joined Metis in 2017 and has since managed a team of over 30 water engineers and consultants. His new role will focus on day-to-day high performance, ensuring alignment of all our activities to the company strategy.
Rob Walker promoted to Commercial Associate Director
Commercial Manager Rob Walker has also been promoted to the new role of Commercial Associate Director. Rob joined Metis as a senior engineer in 2018. In recent years, he has overseen key frameworks, contracts and supply chains – while also identifying future opportunities. We are pleased to welcome Rob to this role, where he will take broader responsibility for driving sustainable revenue growth while continuing to look after our existing contracts.
