A Warm Welcome to George.

G’day, I’m George and I’ve just started as an Engineer with Metis in the Water Management Team after moving to London from Newcastle, Australia.

I completed my studies in 2019 where I graduated with a double degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Newcastle. I have two and a half years post graduate experience in which I gained experience across a broad range of engineering disciplines working for a water utility and a local council, initially as a graduate civil engineer and later as an environmental planner. In these roles I worked on various sewer and water projects, public infrastructure projects and a sand dune rehabilitation project. I am passionate about the interactions between the natural and built environment and how we can best manage them while enhancing urban spaces. I am therefore excited to work with Metis on projects that do just that.

Outside of work I try not to take myself too seriously and enjoy anything outdoors including sport, hiking, and camping.
