We are delighted to share that Metis Consultants has been shortlisted in the Collaborative Partnership category for the DfT Special Recognition Award. This recognition is for assisting the London Borough of Enfield in transforming Enfield Town Centre in collaboration with the following partners:
“We received a record-breaking number of entries this year, and the quality of submissions was extremely high,” said the LCRIG Team.
The DfT Special Recognition Awards – Collaborative Partnership Award recognises outstanding partnerships, collaborations, or joint initiatives that significantly contribute to the advancement and improvement of the highways and transportation sector.
The Enfield Town Liveable Neighbourhood project is being delivered by Enfield Council’s Journeys and Places programme and aims to make the town centre healthier, greener, and more vibrant.
About the Project
The project is being delivered in several phases. The construction of Phase 1 commenced on 1 July 2024 and is programmed to be completed in just over four months.
The detailed design package for Phase 2 is currently being developed and will be subject to statutory consultation and approvals. More information on the project is available on the Let’s Talk Enfield website.
About the Partnership
At Metis, we are proud to have our partnership recognised. This collaboration has led to improved efficiency, reduced carbon footprint, and enhanced safety. The shared expertise and ongoing partnership have been crucial to the project’s success, which aims to regenerate the high street and benefit the local community. The teams’ continued collaboration has also led to a reduced construction schedule, minimising the impact on the high street and its users.
We especially want to thank all those who work diligently every day to make the Enfield Town Liveable Neighbourhood scheme a reality.
The award ceremony will take place on 2nd October at the Winter Gardens, Blackpool.
