Bristol Civil Engineering Society invited Metis to deliver a presentation and attend an evening networking session with their students on campus. This event launched the start of the engagement season for Metis with students across the UK and was an exciting opportunity for Lizzy and Anam to pitch and promote our employment opportunities to young bright minds.
We engaged with the students, discussing how Metis is tackling sustainability issues through our highways and water solutions, what current employment opportunities exist and what it is like to work at Metis.
The students learnt about how our senior team are all trained mentors in supporting them through professional development, such as chartership with a professional institution.
We touched on some of the benefits of working within a small company which is that all members of the team have input into the future direction of the company and the services we offer. This inspires enthusiasm for professional advancement and allows everybody the chance to shape where they work.
