Our very own Lucy Marstrand-Taussig, a transport planner here at Metis, has campaigned with the government for more spending to be made available for walking and cycling.
The government announced a £2.8bn package to encourage drivers to switch to greener vehicles and are committing £27bn towards the creation of new roads. The BBC news article below outlines the challenges in the UK and how we could use space and address the climate emergency in a different way.
