Welcome, Nick and Tom!

With spring now in full swing, Metis is proud to welcome Nick to our Water Management team and Tom to our Highway Design team.

Nick has an MEng in Engineering Science, for which he specialised in water and sustainable energy. Nick is experienced in civil engineering & infrastructure design – supporting public and private developments, from planning through to construction. He also has experience of large-scale infrastructure projects through his time working on site at the Hinkley Point C new build power station construction site in Somerset.  Nick is looking forward to delivering sustainable and cost-effective flood alleviation schemes with Metis’ Water and Environment team. Outside of work, Nick likes to travel and go to the pub – he hopes that we will all be allowed out soon.

Tom is a Civil Engineer with five years of experience in the areas of land development and road and highway design. He studied a Bachelor of Civil Engineering at Victoria University in Melbourne, Australia. To date, his work has involved drainage and civil infrastructure design, utility relocation coordination as well as highway design and upgrade projects. Tom has just arrived from Australia and is looking forward to the new challenges and exciting projects that Metis has to offer. Outside of work, Tom enjoys fishing, listening to music, playing sport, and travelling.
