Infrastructure Management Engineer
Metis Consultants is looking for an Engineer to join the Infrastructure Management Team, specialising in the highway asset management field.
About the Infrastructure Management Engineer role
Our infrastructure management team supports local authorities in the UK by helping them to develop and deliver highway management strategies. This role will report to the Senior Infrastructure Engineer. The ideal candidate will be an experienced engineer who wants to work in an agile, dynamic organisation, and have a tangible influence on how our public sector clients look after built infrastructure.
Key Objectives of the Infrastructure Management Engineer
The Infrastructure Management Engineer will:
- Support local authorities in their efforts to develop and deliver highway management strategies
- Undertake geospatial data analysis to develop robust maintenance plans
- Contribute to the creation of carbon baselines and emission reduction strategies
- Support the delivery and management of projects
Qualifications, skills and experience
- At least two years’ experience in highway infrastructure maintenance and management
- Exceptional problem-solving, logical reasoning and creative thinking skills
- Sound technical ability and strong analytical skills (including GIS)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
