SuDS for Hounslow Schools

Metis designs and implements Sustainable Drainage Solutions (SuDS) for two Hounslow's Schools to mitigate flooding and deliver environmental benefits.

SuDS for Carden Primary School

The South Downs National Park Authority (SDNPA), a government-funded public body, and The Aquifer Partnership (TAP) identified the opportunity to provide SuDS within potential flooding areas within the South Downs.

Supporting the Action for Silk Stream project

As part of a 6-year programme, the Metis team have been helping Harrow and Barnet councils with their Action for Silk Stream project throughout the Silk Stream catchment.

Carden Primary SuDS in Schools - Detailed Design

Metis designed a number of Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) features to reduce the risk of flooding in the area as well as to provide treatment to the inflow and improve the water quality.

SuDS in Sutton Schools

Having supported Sutton in securing Environment Agency Grant in Aid funding, Metis were commissioned to develop SuDS designs on seven school sites and one council site, to mitigate flooding to over 100 properties and deliver environmental benefits.

Newton Park Flood Alleviation and River Restoration Project

The park originally flooded after heavy rainfall causing damage to residential properties around and downstream of the park. Metis gained funding for and designed the Newton Park West Flood Storage Area and River Restoration Scheme.

Birches Trading Estate – Flood Mitigation

Following a series of flooding incidents in the Birches Industrial Estate in East Grinstead, Metis were commissioned to investigate the causes of the flooding, undertake options appraisal and detailed design of a preferred option, before leading the procurement phase and contract administration during construction.
