Celebrating Earth Day: Our Commitment to Sustainability

Sustainability is core to our company strategy, and on this Earth Day, we reflect on how our expertise, capabilities, and business practices contribute to creating a positive impact for people and the planet.
Here are some of our sustainable strategies and best practices we have implemented:
- In 2022, we proudly achieved B Corp certification, marking a significant milestone in our commitment to making a positive impact on the planet and society.
- We are committed to helping our clients in both the public and private sectors develop and implement effective carbon management strategies. These strategies significantly reduce their CO2 emissions, enabling them to work towards ambitious net-zero carbon emission goals through their projects.
Our journey towards sustainability doesn’t stop at our services; it extends to every aspect of our business:
- Last year, we donated to Rainforest Trust UK, and through their partner, Centro para el Desarrollo del Indígena Amazónico (CEDIA), we joined their shared mission to protect the Amazon Rainforest in Peru. So far, Rainforest Trust and CEDIA have protected over 14 million acres through numerous large-scale projects. Metis’s contribution has played a significant part in protecting an additional 3.8 million acres.
- We also changed the way we network with our new eco-friendly business cards. Last year, we introduced digital business cards through a third-party organisation, a non-profit focused on global reforestation, resulting in over 70 trees planted on behalf of Metis.
